In Call of Dragons, Vardun is a legendary magic hero. He has the Magic, PVP, and Skill talent trees.

Should you invest in Vardun?

Vardun is one of the heroes who can have a huge impact on open-field fighting. His fourth skill alone, which applies four permanent debuffs with every active skill, makes him one of the most impactful mage heroes in the game.

When combined with Doom Bracers and a Magifox pet, his damage output becomes genuinely impressive. So, if you are a player focused on mage heroes, you should definitely add him to your team, whether you are free-to-play or pay-to-win.

• High active skill damage with 3 rune types.
• Destructive Rune doubles active damage every 30 seconds.
• Adds −30% march speed slow for 3 seconds.
• Tear applies strong debuffs every active cast.
• Debuffs have near-permanent uptime.
• Awakening adds +20% hero skill damage.

Vardun Pairings

Pair Vardun with other magic heroes that will provide additional nuke damage or hero that provides some survivability for field fights.

Cantaman and Vardun have best synergy: Best overall pairing. Vardun’s debuffs quickly stack Canaman’s defense penetration. Destructive Rune can trigger up to 8 debuffs in one rage cycle. Canaman fixes Vardun’s spread damage weakness. Best results need both awakened.

If you do not have Cantaman, then you can pair Vardun with: Seluna and Liliya.

Vardun Artifacts

The artifact you use depends on the hero paired with Vardun. The best artifacts are Doom Bracers.

Vardun War Pets

There are a lot of war pets in Call of Dragons, and they are hard to get on a decent level. Focus on pets that will boost damage or provided buffs.

Chaos Rune

Skill Rage Cost: 1,000
Attack Range: Very Far

Consumes the current Rune. Depending on Rune type, the Legion casts:

• Thunder: Deals Magic damage to the target Legion (Damage Factor 900).
• Fire: Deals diffused Magic damage to the target Legion and 2 nearby enemy Legions (Damage Factor 700).
• Quake: Deals diffused Magic damage to 3 enemy Legions in a forward rectangle (Damage Factor 900).

The Legion gains a random Rune upon entering battle, and gains a Rune according to the target Legion unit type after casting a Rage Skill.

Fire Damage Factor: 700 / 900 / 1,100 / 1,350 / 1,600

Ravaging Flame

Passive Skill 
When the Legion gains a Rune via casting a Rage Skill while in the field, the Rune becomes a Ravaging Rune (can be triggered once every 30 seconds).

Consume a Ravaging Rune to cast Fire upon 3 enemy Legions, dealing diffused damage. Legions that take damage gain Slow: March Speed -15% for 3 seconds.

Seal of Destruction

Passive Skill 
When casting Chaos Rune, the target Legion’s units suffer the following effects for 10 seconds:

• Infantry units: Lose 20% DEF
• Cavalry units: Lose 20% HP
• Marksman units: Deal 20% less normal attack damage
• Magic units: Deal 20% less Hero Skill damage

Upgrade Preview: 
Infantry Unit DEF Reduction: 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40%
Cavalry Unit HP Reduction: 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40%
Marksman Unit Normal Attack Damage Reduction: 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40%

Mountain Breaker

The Legion deals 20% more Hero Rage Skill damage. While in the field, the Legion has a 100% chance to gain a Ravaging Rune upon entering battle.
