Agnar Rating
In Call of Dragons, Agnar is a legendary cavalry hero. He has the PVP, Skill, and Cavalry talent trees.
Should you invest in Agnar?
Agnar is an extremely powerful cavalry hero in Call of Dragons. What makes him extremely strong is his ability to output raw cavalry damage thanks to his attack stacking, active skill, and 50% defense penetration.
So if you are a free-to-play player who is focused on cavalry units, you should get him. It is 100% worth it, especially if you are doing city hopping.
- Highest single-target damage in the game
- Gets value immediately on field contact, before rage skill is even ready.
- His damage output exceeds every cavalry hero in the game even when used as a cavalry deputy.
- 2nd skill built specifically for garrison: 50% chance per normal/extra normal to reduce target defense by 2% per stack, max 10 stacks = −20% defense on the target.
- In open field, archers get targeted and deleted before rage skill fires.
- Talent trees are a real limitation: Marksman, Garrison, Support — no Precision, no Skill, no Control tree.

Agnar Pairings
Pair Agnar with other archer heroes that will provide additional nuke damage or hero that provides some survivability for field fights.
Agnar and Freya have best synergy: Together in a crowd: Agnar’s defense penetration + Freya’s AoE debuffs = everything in range suffers. Freya’s 3rd skill: every 8 times her legion deals hero skill damage, inflicts Cowardice on the target + AoE damage to up to 5 nearby legions, scaling more damage per legion hit
If you do not have Agnar, then you can pair Agnar with: Zayda,
Maggrat, and
Gwanwyn,
Ffraegar.
Agnar Artifacts
The artifact you use depends on the hero paired with Agnar. The best artifacts are Winter’s Age and Wolf Howl.
Agnar War Pets
There are a lot of war pets in Call of Dragons, and they are hard to get on a decent level. Focus on pets that will boost skill damage or deal AOE damage.
Best Pets for Agnar are:
- Bullion Beast
- Berserk Faedrake
- Blade Manticore
