Ruby Rating
In Call of Dragons, Ruby is a legendary archer hero. She has the Marksman, PVP, and Precision talent trees.
Should you invest in Ruby?
Ruby is one of the best archer heroes that you can get in the game. When she is at max level, her skills deal an insane amount of damage. She is really strong, but there is one problem. Ruby is extremely weak in terms of health and defense, so without good positioning and knowing how to use her, you will just lose. Also, you need her at max level to reach her full potential.
So if you are a free-to-play player who is focused on archer units, then you should definitely get her. Only get her if you have the resources to max her out and you know how to play archers. If your focus is on other types of units, then feel free to skip her.
- Massive AoE damage if rage skill lands: One of the highest damage ceilings of any archer hero in the game right now.
- Spark Mark stacking = insane burst potential: Each stack consumed on next volley = +6% damage factor per stack → up to +30% bonus damage on top of an already massive active skill.
- Not locked to archers only: 2nd skill buffs and 4th skill HP bonus work with cavalry too → viable flex pick behind cav heroes. Opens up cross-troop-type pairings most archer heroes can’t access.
- 1,000 rage cost is a serious problem: Archers in Call of Dragons get targeted and deleted before they can fire their rage skill consistently in open field
- Resource-heavy troop type: If you can’t heal mass archer losses after getting targeted, the attrition will drain you fast. F2P and low spenders will feel the pain more than any other troop type.
Ruby Talent Tree Build

Ruby Pairings
Pair Ruby with other archer heroes that will provide additional nuke damage or hero that provides some survivability for field fights.
Kaelan and Ruby have best synergy: Massive nuke potential. Constant passive damage output without needing to cast a rage skill — solving Ruby’s biggest weakness.
If you do not have Kalean, then you can pair Ruby with: Kinnara,
Maggrat, and
Falgrim.
Ruby Artifacts
The artifact you use depends on the hero paired with Ruby. The best artifacts are Roaring Rager, Shadow Blades and
Heart of the Kamasi
Ruby War Pets
There are a lot of war pets in Call of Dragons, and they are hard to get on a decent level. Focus on pets that will boost damage or provided buffs.
Best Pets for Ruby are:
- Ruby + Kalean → Wind Weasel
- Ruby + Maggrat → Shadow Manticore
- Ruby + Kinnara → Snowpeak Roc
