Should you invest in Kuma?

Kuma is an extremely strong hero in Call of Dragons. He is equipped with endless sustain + high counterattack damage. If you are an infantry player, then yes, Kuma is absolutely worth investing in. He’s built to thrive in swarms and open-field fights. If your focus is not infantry units, then you should skip Kuma and save your resources for other heroes.

  • Unique HP drain mechanic: steals up to 20% HP from target + 10% from nearby legions.
  • Extremely high sustain and healing (scales with infantry HP bonuses).
  • Gains up to +100% attack from nearby fighting legions (huge counterattack potential).
  • 15% defense + 15% attack baseline buffs for infantry.
  • Awakening provides +20% HP every 5s from buffs = strong frontline durability.
  • Designed for large-scale PvP — thrives in cluster fights and against swarms.

Kuma Pairings

The best hero to pair with Kuma is Lei Kuan. Together, they have a lot of survivability and sustain from various buffs, making the march extremely tanky. Together: unkillable sustain + massive counterattack retaliation, making them a great combo for open-field PVP.

If you do not have Lei Kuan, then you can pair Kuma with: Skogul IconSkogul, Goresh IconGoresh, and Tobin IconTobin.

Kuma Artifacts

The artifact you use depends on the hero paired with Kuma. The best artifacts are Serpent’s Edge and Spiritbone Torc.

Kuma War Pets

There are a lot of war pets in Call of Dragons, and they are hard to get on a decent level. Focus on pets that will boost attack and give buffs and debuffs.

Best Pets for Kuma are:

  • Mossrock Aurochs
  • Sand Lizard
  • Venomous Lizard
  • Striped Bear
