The start of Call of Dragons Season 2 is a ”fun time” when all your hero levels, talent levels, and artifact levels will be reset. So in this guide, we will share a few tips and tricks that will help you at the start of the season, so you do not fall behind too much.
Choosing Talent Tree
When you enter Call of Dragons season 2, all your talents tree builds will be reset. Once you level up your heroes, you will be able to choose to import your old talent tree or start new ones. We recommend that you start with new ones so you can plan your build.
Scout
Scout as much as you can. The reason is that you need to have a vision of behemoth layers and dark creatures to see where your enemies are. So do your best to clear the whole map as soon as possible.
Policies
It is crucial to upgrade policies as much as you can at the beginning. Your main goal should be researching Military Expansion 3 and healing tech medical supplies so you can fight darkling units more easily, which will give you valuable resources for leveling heroes and artifacts. Also, it is important if you are planning to do some PVP activities. Do not forget to get Administrative Excellence so you can increase war pets’ capacity.
Heroes
All hero levels will be reset to level 1 in season 2. You can not level up all your heroes at once, it is not efficient. So make sure that you choose the five best heroes that you will level up. We recommend that you have at least one tank, and the rest should be range units if you are a free-to-play player.
Also, make sure that you level up your heroes by gathering. If you are not familiar with this method, you can find an explanation of how it works in our hero leveling guide. Do not forget to use your experience items to get your heroes to level 20 so you can bring secondary heroes and get more troop capacity.

Artifacts
All your artifacts will also get reset at the end of the season, so you will have to level them up again. There are a lot of different artifacts available in the game, and not all of them are that great. Make sure that you choose artifacts that are for fighting and that they have synergy with heroes that you will level up.
Dragon Trail
In Dragon Trail, you will earn a lot of rewards and experiences for leveling artifacts and heroes. It will speed up the leveling of your heroes and artifacts and your overall progression. There are a lot of stages in Dragon Trail, and you will not be able to do all of them at the start of a new season, but you have to push it as much as you can if you want to get your heroes and artifacts to max level fast.
Bundles and Battle Pass
When you start a new season, it would be great if you could purchase a monthly pack. They will give you insane value for your money. Also, check out Battlepass because it will give you insane rewards and, most importantly, the CP that you will need in order to level up your heroes fast.
VIP Shop
A lot of players forget about the VIP shop, which is a big mistake. When you enter season 2, VIP shops will be reset, and you will be able to purchase items using your resources. The most valuable item that you can get is CP recovery. So make sure that you get it. When it comes to other bundles, it all depends on what your goal is and how much you are willing to spend.
Join Whale Alliance
Being part of a strong alliance that has a lot of spenders is crucial, and it will boost your progression drastically. Each time someone buys a bundle, the whole alliance will get free chests. At the start of the new season, pay-to-win players will go crazy and spend a lot of money on bundles, which means that you will get a lot of free chests.
Do not spend CP Recovery items
When you enter season 2, you will not be able to attack high-level dark creatures because your talents heroes are under-leveled or because you simply do not have strong heroes. So it is best to wait until you get to the point where you can defeat level 11 units. Once you can defeat them, you can start to spend your CP items.
The reason for this is that low-level darkling will give you a small amount of experience and dust compared to high levels. Also, there are policies that will increase the amount of experience that you can get, like War Studies.
