Cantaman Rating
In Call of Dragons, Cantaman is a legendary magic hero. He has the Magic, Rally, and Control talent trees.
Should you invest in Cantaman?
Cantaman is not a universal mage. He’s a specialist built almost entirely around Vardun. If you’re planning to max both Vardun and Cantaman, you’ll get one of the strongest mage rally/open-field combinations in the game. If you aren’t investing in Vardun, skip Cantaman and spend your resources elsewhere.
- Huge single-target damage
- Massive defense penetration
- Excellent rally commander
- Strong anti-infantry utility
- Great damage amplification
- One of the strongest mage pairings with Vardun
- Almost completely dependent on Vardun
- Weak standalone value
- Rally-focused (less useful for many players)
- Requires heavy investment
- Not beginner or F2P friendly
Cantaman Talent Tree Build

Cantaman Pairings
Pair Cantaman with other magic heroes that will provide additional nuke damage or hero that provides some survivability for field fights.
Cantaman and Cantaman have best synergy: Vardun constantly applies debuffs. Cantuman’s S4 scales from debuffs. Vardun enables Cantuman’s Awakening. Maximum defense penetration. Highest overall damage. This is the pairing the hero was designed for.
Cantaman Artifacts
The artifact you use depends on the hero paired with Cantaman. The best artifacts are Doom Bracers, Phoenix Eye and
Mirage Orb.
Cantaman War Pets
There are a lot of war pets in Call of Dragons, and they are hard to get on a decent level. Focus on pets that will boost damage or provided buffs.
Best Pets for Cantaman are:
