Call of Dragons Update 1.0.31 “Golden Autumn”

Version 1.0.31 “Golden Autumn” is coming to Call of Dragons. Here are some details on the update:

New Royal Celebrations Event Series

The embers of the old age are dying, and a new era is about to be born. The dragon bows at the feet of the exalted High King! If the Flame Dragon’s Lair is occupied by an Alliance at the end of Season 1, this will begin the Royal Celebrations event series.

  • Royal Proclamation: The High King can issue a Royal Proclamation, celebrating this momentous occasion with all Lords of the Realm.
  • Kingdom Celebrations: Members of the Alliance that occupies the Flame Dragon’s Lair can purchase the Kingdom Celebrations Bundle and share Gift Boxes containing awesome rewards with their fellow Alliance Members.
  • Time of Celebration: Celebration Chests will appear on the map every 8 hours during the event, and can be opened by all players.
    Roots

Roots of War Rework

  1. The Roots of War map has been redesigned. Changes have made to terrain, Safe Zone exits, and the locations of Halls and Outposts; the Seal of Thorns has also been removed.
  2. There is now only 1 Lifestone on the battlefield at any given time. It will respawn at the center of the battlefield.
  3. Some gameplay features have been improved. You can now see building details in Safe Zones for both teams. The March Speed of Rallied Armies has been adjusted, as has the speed of routed Legions returning to their Base Camp. You can now apply more Markers. The effects of occupying an Outpost have also been changed.
  4. Added a new Battlefield Guide. Zoom out and tap the Counsellor/Shaman/Sage avatar in the bottom-right to obtain more detailed information about the battlefield.
  5. Added teams for registration. An Alliance can configure up to three teams to take part in different Roots of War matches, allowing more Alliance Members to take part.
  6. Extended the registration period. Alliance Officers now have more time to manage participants.
  7. Added a voting function to the registration period. Alliance Officers can use it to better schedule activities.
  8. The team roster will not be locked after registration. Until the registration cutoff time, players can cancel their registration and change team or Alliance at any time.
  9. These features are still in the testing phase, and will be rolled out to a limited number of servers. See in-game for details on when features will become available.

Seasonal Gameplay Improvements

  • Improved the Season 2 map. Players entering Season 2 will be able to enjoy an all-new map of Belleron once the update is complete. This will not affect players currently in Season 2.
  • Improved Ancestor Statue gameplay for Season 2 and beyond. Once an Ancestor Statue has been occupied, its occupation status will not be affected if members of other Alliances or Dwarven Guardians enter its challenge range. If all Alliance Members’ Legions die or leave the challenge range, the Alliance will lose control of the Ancestor Statue, and it will be open to contest again.
  • Changed cooldown for Territorial Relocation in Season 1, making relocation more convenient for players after joining a new Alliance. The cooldown period begins after you join a new Alliance and initiate Territorial Relocation (previously, the cooldown would begin as soon as you joined an Alliance). During the cooldown period, you can only relocate to areas within your Alliance’s territory.
  • Reworked the Resurgence feature. Once the Season 1 stage “Unscarred” ends, the Resurgence feature will no longer be available.
  • Reworked migration: Realms in Season 2 and beyond who have not appointed a High King will have no Power limit, and their Migration Permit cost will be reduced by 20%. Migration quotas for all Realms have been reduced from 300 to 150.
  • Changed certain Behemoth occupation buffs in Home Realms. Stamina-related buffs will now apply to both Heroes and War Pets: Necrogiant: Stamina Recovery Speed (previously Hero Stamina Recovery Speed) Magma Daemon: Stamina limit (previously Hero Stamina limit)”

A Smoother Route to Prosperity

  • New Epic Artifact Lordsguard Bow (Marksman, Peacekeeping, Assault) available from the Artifact Compendium.
  • After the update, when starting a new game as the Springwardens, Gwanwyn will receive the Lordsguard Bow Artifact during the tutorial, rather than Bomb Flinger.
  • New War Pet Shadow Manticore now available.
  • New War Pet Blade Manticore now available for players in Season of Strife.
  • New playstyle feature: You can now see a radar chart of your playstyle during the Season, measuring six attributes: Merits, Engineering, Healing, Behemoths, Gathering, and Peacekeeping. When the feature becomes available, you will only be able to see your playstyle for the current Season. Past Seasons will become visible as you progress.
  • Improved Elixir. Your base Elixir Capacity Limit is now equivalent to 8 hours of Elixir production (previously 6 hours). Your Elixir Capacity Limit can be increased by enacting relevant Policies.
  • Improved Skill retraining. You can now choose whether or not to keep the results of retraining.
  • Improved building upgrades. You can now upgrade a building while you are using it to train Legions or research tech.
  • Improved quality of Elixir items when refreshing the Merits Store.
  • Changed source of Artifact “Deathless Vines”. You can now obtain it from the Artifact Compendium using Universal Artifact Keys.

An Even Richer Combat Experience

  1. Strengthened Cavalry Unit Skill Unyielding Rush in order to make Cavalry units more effective in team warfare.
  2. Previously: March Speed increases when approaching the target Legion. After colliding with a Ranged Legion, the Hero commanding this Legion gains 1000 Rage. Legions cannot be intercepted while charging. This effect can be triggered once every 10s. Now: March Speed increases when approaching the target Legion. After colliding with a Ranged Legion, the Hero commanding this Legion gains 1000 Rage and gains Valiant: for each attack received from a Ranged Legion, the Legion deals 15% more damage (max 75%) for 10s. Rush triggers once every 10s. While rushing, a Legion cannot be intercepted, and takes 80% less damage, but cannot launch counterattacks.
  3. Fixed Gilded Crossbow Artifact Skill Glittering Bolt. The Skill will no longer erroneously attack neutral Legions within range if the target Legion dies.
  4. Changed Stamina consumption for Heroes and War Pets. If your Legion does not launch an attack, but is routed by another Lord’s Legion, this will cost Heroes and War Pets 10 Stamina.
  5. Heroes can now be sorted by “most commonly used” instead of by Star Rating.
  6. Improved Simple Mode. You can now customize Simple Mode by selecting different options. This will allow you to adjust the display of Legion and combat details.
  7. Added an option for player Cities to the “drag Legion to select target” customization setting. If you uncheck the box, you will no longer be able to attack another player’s City by dragging your Legion to it, thus avoiding unintended losses.
  8. Increased Merits gained by killing enemy Legions. Killing enemy Legions outright will grant more Merits than wounding them.
  9. Added Artifact Merits. Wounding or killing enemy Legions by using Artifacts will also grant Merits.
  10. You will now be asked to confirm your decision if you deploy a Legion with a unit type that differs from the Captain of the rally or garrison you are joining, thus preventing unit type buffs from being disabled.
  11. Adjusted the Auto-Peacekeeping feature. The feature will be rolled out to a number of new servers for continued testing. The official release will be announced at a later date.

An Improved Alliance System

  • Added Alliance Priority Lists and Alliance Blocklists, available from Season 2 onwards. Alliance Leaders and Scholars can add players to Priority Lists and Blocklists. Players on the Priority List may join and leave the Alliance whenever they like, and are not subject to approval or Power limits. Players on the Blocklist cannot apply to join the Alliance.
  • Improved notification for relocation to Warband territory. The notification now clearly states that territorial protection does not apply when relocating to a Warband member’s territory, putting your City at risk of attack.

Increased resource reserves for Level 6 Alliance Resource Centers:
Level 6 Alliance Gold Mine: 250,000,000 → 300,000,000.
Level 6 Alliance Wood Pile: 250,000,000 → 300,000,000.
Level 6 Alliance Ore Mine: 187,500,000 → 225,000,000.
Level 6 Alliance Mana Well: 85,000,000 → 100,000,000.

  • Increased total length limit of Alliance Roads from 1200km to 1500km.
  • Added Alliance Member search feature. You can now search for Alliance Members using their name or user ID.
  • Improved Alliance Member listings. You can now tap an Alliance Member’s avatar on the list to see their City’s coordinates and move to them.
  • If you quit your Alliance and join a new one, you will be unable to use Lair Portals for a brief period of time.

More Enjoyable Events

  • New Mystery Box event now available! When the stars fell to earth, precious supplies bound by a magical seal were scattered into fragments. Retrieve them from the clutches of the Darklings and piece them back together in the Mystery Box to break the seal and receive the treasures of the forest!
  • Adjusted difficulty of the Celestial Battlegrounds event. 5 difficulty levels will be available in all Seasons. Point rewards and ranking rewards have also been adjusted.
  • Crucible of Courage: Slightly increased the amount of Hero EXP available from rally attacks on Level 5 Crucible Hordes. Slightly reduced Hero EXP available from rally attacks on Level 15 and Level 20 Crucible Hordes.
